The Partner of Lab Companion-Southwest Jiaotong University School of Mechanical Engineering

    The School of Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest colleges in Southwest Jiaotong University, formerly known as Tangshan Road and Mining Academy Mechanical Department, which was founded in 1919. Over the past century, it has trained a large number of well-known experts, scholars, entrepreneurs and management talents at home and abroad, with Academician Shen Zhiyun and Academician Zhai Wanming as outstanding representatives. Since the reform and opening up, the college has made outstanding achievements in teaching, scientific research and discipline construction. As the host unit, it has won 1 second prize of National Natural science, 3 first prizes of National teaching achievements, and 12 first prizes of provincial and ministerial science and technology or teaching achievements. In 2007, mechanical engineering discipline became the first batch of national key disciplines approved by The State Council.
