    Changsha Institute of Mining Research Co., Ltd. is located in the beautiful scenery of Yuelu mountain, Xiangjiang River bank, covers an area of 170,000 square meters. It was established in 1956 and belongs to the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry. In April 1983, it was transferred to the former China Nonferrous Metals Industry Corporation.
