Pioneer of French Temperature Control Testing - Dragon Thermal Flow Meter

1. What is a heat flow meter?

The heat flow meter detects the temperature resistance of the test sample by providing a maximum temperature change environment, mainly including two detection modes: thermal shock and temperature cycling. This system can accurately control the thermal environment, with a temperature control accuracy as low as ± 0.1 ℃; Its internal thermal environment can rapidly change in seconds.

Using direct temperature controlled cold/hot air flow to provide precise thermal environment. The temperature control range of air flow is from -70 ℃ to+250 ℃; It has a super fast heating/cooling rate, and temperature changes can be completed within seconds.

2. Application of heat flow meter

Thermal flow meters can be used for electronic and non electronic components and subsystems, with applications covering defense industry, aviation industry, military industry, automation components, automotive parts, electronic and electrical instrument components, electrical products, plastics, chemical industry, food industry, BGA, PCB substrate, electronic chip IC, semiconductor ceramic pharmaceutical industry. By using the Jielong high and low temperature impact system, thermal testing and characterization of electronic components and materials can be carried out, thereby improving their reliability

Main application areas

Rapid Failure Analysis

Rapid failure analysis is the process of investigating product failures with the aim of identifying and fixing potential issues. When different types of problems occur, failure analysis helps to clearly identify the specific stages or types of operations at which they arise, and provides a framework for establishing internal processes to offset opportunities for errors to occur. This helps to identify differences and other inaccuracies in the early stages, ensuring that manufacturers improve their designs when economically feasible.

thermal shock

Thermal shock is a phenomenon in which material tension changes due to rapid temperature fluctuations. It often causes material fracture, and is most common in brittle materials such as ceramics. This is a sudden process that occurs during rapid temperature changes, whether it is from hot to cold or from cold to hot, resulting in thermal shock.

accelerated life test

Accelerated life testing is the process of detecting faults and potential failure modes in a short period of time by placing a product under conditions that exceed its normal operating parameters (stress, strain, temperature, voltage, vibration rate, pressure, etc.). By analyzing the product's response to such tests, engineers can predict the product's lifespan and maintenance cycle.

Environmental testing screening

Environmental testing screening refers to exposing products to environmental conditions set up in a testing room to identify potential defects in components or designs. This test is usually conducted during the product manufacturing process, with testing conditions including extreme temperature, humidity changes, vibration, dust, and even physical aspects such as water droplet or flexibility testing.

Semiconductor Manufacturing

One of the main applications of heat flux meters is in the semiconductor manufacturing process, from product development in engineering laboratories to final assembly and testing in production workshops.

As a part of the product identification and feature description process, engineers verify whether semiconductors operate normally under different environmental conditions, such as extreme temperatures. The testing phase of engineering and production includes aging at specific temperatures, electrical performance, cold/hot testing, and other environmental testing simulations to meet industry standards such as automotive and aviation. It is crucial to investigate the temperature resistance of semiconductor devices, as once they are put into practical applications, these devices are often exposed to extreme environmental conditions.

Falaibao heat flow meter Dragon

The Dragon thermal flow meter from Falaibao has a wide temperature range, with ultra long temperature control from -75 ℃ to+250 ℃. The dry air flow can be adjusted up to 8.4 L/s, and the thermal stability is as low as 0.5 ℃. It can be used continuously for 7 days and 24 hours, meeting various applications in various fields. Dragon has 4 universal wheels at the bottom, making it easy to move and very suitable for online testing in production workshops;

At the same time, the Dragon high and low temperature impact system of Falaibao completely subverts the working mode of traditional temperature test chambers, and compared with it, it has unique advantages:

►The temperature rise and fall rate is very fast, which can achieve rapid temperature shock on optical communication products;

►When conducting temperature cycling tests, it can be stably maintained at a certain temperature point with an accuracy of ± 0.5 ℃;

► Temperature testing can be conducted on a specific IC component in the PCB without affecting other components;

►Temperature testing can be conducted in the laboratory or on a work platform, with controllable temperature rise and fall times and programmable operations.

In addition, the Falaibao high and low temperature impact system Dragon can customize large volume insulation boxes according to customer needs to meet the testing of different sizes and batches of samples.
